Gallant has worked for the National Film Board and for Galerie Sans Nom in Moncton. From 1987 to 1989, he lived in Montreal and devoted himself to painting. Over the course of his career, Gallant has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Atlantic Canada, as well as in other regions of country.
